What is Svadhyaya’s Learning Space?
Our programs cover Art, Music & Movement as they are most effective means for children & adults to discover and develop their creative and learning skills.

The process of working with these natural materials in a natural, open ended and free environment promotes self-learning, joy of learning, sensory development, fine motor skills, self-esteem, self-expression, problem solving skills, leadership skills, discipline, broadened perspectives and a sense of acceptance.

In addition, art, music & movement have a well-documented therapeutic quality that settles and calms children and adults.
Why choose Svadhyaya’s Learning Space?
Svadhyaya is a space that gives importance to the journey and joy of learning than the result itself.
There are no age criteria for a person to enroll for an elective at Svadhyaya. The idea of the space is to have a mixed age group learning environment!
What programs do we choose?
The current electives available are Clay, Pottery, Natural Colours, Kalaripayattu, Climbing, Yoga, and Arts, Movement & Nature.
Electives in the pipeline are Gymnastics, Carnatic Vocal Music, Veena, Bharathanatyam, Carpentry, Sewing, Knitting, Crochet, Weaving, Vedic Maths and Sanskrit.
How to choose a program to enroll?
Each elective has three ways to enrol, the hobbyist or the explorer or the creator.
For people who want to understand whether an art form, movement form and the music form is for them we suggest enrolling as the hobbyist for a minimum duration of one month.
For people who know which art form, music form and movement form they would like to pursue, we suggest enrolling as the explorer for the duration of the modules or minimum duration of three months (for programs on a continuum).
Those who complete the explorer stage can continue as creators where they use the space and the assistance of the facilitators to create on their own.
We also suggest that every learner chooses at least one elective each from each category i.e. art, movement & music.
