I am a fine artist and illustrator, who works primarily with inks, watercolour, pens, and other traditional media. I have been making art for over a decade; it’s how I make sense of the world.
Work Experience
January 2023- May 2023- Illustrator and Researcher- ELICIT Foundation, Ahmadabad, Gujarat & Dolphin International School, Pulwama, Kashmir
Undergraduate Thesis ‘The Language of Lines’, conducted in collaboration with ELICIT. Conducted reflective drawing workshops with children from diverse backgrounds; to understand the impact of narratives on learning, and the role of drawing in expression and connection.
June 2022- August 2022 – Consultant, Researcher and Illustrator– ELICIT Foundation, Ahmadabad, Gujarat & Dolphin International School, Pulwama, Kashmir Conducted an impact assessment on ground in Kashmir. The research was collated and compiled in an illustrated book exploring the relationship between conflict and education through stories of impact from Pulwama.
February 2022- April 2022 – Illustrator – Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sanghralay (CSMVS), Mumbai and Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust, Delhi
Creating illustrations, backdrops and other visual content for “Mumbai in a Box’, an exhibit celebrating hundred years of the museum and Mumbai
September 2020 – November 2020: Creative Design Intern – Dabble Created illustrations, coloring pages and conceptualized projects for this Bangalore-based company
May 2020 – September 2020: Teaching Artist – Dolphin International School, Pulwama, Kashmir I designed and taught an elective course on Visual Journaling and Art-Making to a group of high school students. Due to the pandemic, the course was conducted virtually.
